Aston Villa manager Unai Emery believes his side can secure a positive result when they face Monaco in Tuesday’s Champions League clash in France.
Villa head into the encounter in good form and will be looking to build on their impressive 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Premier League at the weekend.
Softfootball reports that Emery is aware of the challenge Monaco will pose but remains confident in his players’ ability to compete for all three points.
The Spanish coach admitted that his squad has some injury concerns but insisted the available players are ready to give their best.
While stressing the importance of preparing properly for the demanding fixture, Emery told reporters:

Emery also praised Monaco’s record in European football and their ability to develop young talents while remaining competitive at the highest level.
The Villa boss, who has faced Monaco in previous title battles, believes his team must maintain the right balance and show their quality on the European stage.
