Sevilla forward Chidera Ejuke believes the current Super Eagles squad has the quality and mentality to achieve great success for Nigeria.
Softfootball reported that the Super Eagles recently held their final training session ahead of a friendly match against Poland in Warsaw, as the team continued preparations for another important international assignment.
Ejuke spoke during Wednesday’s media parley with Super Eagles players at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel camp in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.
The winger said he feels privileged to be part of the current national team setup and believes Nigeria are blessed with top-quality players across different positions.
Ejuke added that the present group has what it takes to make the country proud if they continue to work together with focus, unity, and determination.
The Super Eagles are set to face Libya on Friday in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier as they continue their push to secure a place at next year’s tournament in Morocco.
Ejuke also called on Nigerians to keep supporting the team, both during good moments and difficult periods. He stressed that the players understand the expectations of the fans and will continue to give their best whenever they wear the national colours.
The Sevilla forward said qualification for the 2025 AFCON is very important to the players and the country, adding that the team will do everything possible to book their place at the tournament.
For Ejuke, the message is clear: the Super Eagles have enough talent to succeed, but they will need focus, hard work, and strong support from Nigerians to achieve their goals.
