Lobi Stars technical adviser, Daniel Amokachi, has expressed confidence that his side will continue to improve as the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season progresses.
Softfootball understands that Amokachi remains optimistic about his team’s development despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Niger Tornadoes in his first game in charge. The former Super Eagles striker believes the Makurdi-based club is still a work in progress and expects stronger performances as his players become more familiar with his philosophy.

The encounter marked Lobi Stars’ first away point of the campaign after a determined display in Minna.
Ossy Martins put Lobi Stars ahead in the 61st minute, raising hopes of a valuable away victory.
However, Niger Tornadoes, who are still searching for their first home win of the season at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, rescued a point through Emmanuel Olawale, who struck in the 90th minute.
Despite conceding late, Amokachi praised his players’ effort and attitude throughout the contest.
“I’m very impressed with what I saw; it’s a process, and we’ll get it right soon,” Amokachi told the club’s media.
Lobi Stars will now shift focus to their Matchday Seven fixture, where they will host El-Kanemi Warriors at the Lafia City Stadium, hoping to build on the encouraging signs from Amokachi’s first match in charge.
