Softfootball believes Mexico were the most impressive of the trio. The USA also tried to push forward after a decent group‑stage showing, but their Round of 16 performance against Belgium fell well below expectations, resulting in a poor display that ended their hopes.

Canada, meanwhile, gave their best in the group stage and showed strong organisation, but Morocco proved too powerful in the Round of 16, securing the win and sending the Canadians home.
