Former Manchester City star, Albert Riera has officially resumed his role as new head coach of Bundesliga outfit, Eintracht Frankfurt, Softfootball reveals.
The 43-year-old Spaniard takes charge from today after penning a deal that is valid until 30 June 2028 from the struggling side. Frankfurt need a quick turnaround to improve their fortunes this season following some recent poor results.

Interestingly, Frankfurt’s woes started with elimination by Dortmund from the DFB Pokal and Borussia also denied Eintracht a win with a 3-3 draw in January. It is a fixture that gave fans excitement and one to always look out for.
Riera’s first role as head coach was at Olimpija Ljubljana, where he oversaw a Slovenian league and cup double in 2023. He also gained experience at French club Girondins Bordeaux in 2023/24.

Riera enjoyed recent success with Slovenian top-flight club NK Celje, whom he steered to domestic cup glory in his first year at the helm.
