Barcelona superstar, Lanine Yamal says he doesn’t want to be compared to Cristiano Ronaldo or anyone as he looks to build his own part, Softfootball reports.
The Spaniard, who was recently named king of dribbling by Barcelona is highly rated and tipped to win the Balloon D’Or in the near future.
In an interview shared by football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle. Yamal said:
It’s best not to compare yourself to anyone. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo did what they did because they wanted to be themselves and not compare themselves to others. I want to build my own path.
Yamal, who starred in Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Villarreal in the match before the winter break remains keen to help the Catalan giants retain their league title this season.
Barcelona are currently top on LaLiga with 46 points, four points ahead of rivals Real Madrid after 18 matches this season.
