According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, shared an interview where the Cameroon international talked about the failed transfer to Old Trafford and how it affected his form this season. The post read:

Carlos Balebaon missed transfer to Man United impacting his performances: I do not think it affected me. But I had a lot of pressure on me. I wanted to have same performances as last season.  Every day I try to work hard and to get back to my level”, told Sky.

Carlos Baleba was in the squad when Brighton lost 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield last weekend. The midfielder is known for his breaking up play, driving forward, and scoring important goals and won the Goal of the Month winner in April 2025.

The 21-year-old is a dynamic midfielder, physically dominant, and tactically disciplined. His all-action style makes him a vital component of Brighton’s midfield engine room.

Baleba is currently with the Cameroon national team preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and their opening match will be against Gabon on Wednesday, December 24.
