Haaland, Mbeumo and Cash amongst Premier League’s October Player of the Month nominees

The race for the Premier League Player of the Month for October is heating up, with several standout performers earning recognition for their brilliant form throughout the month.

Among the nominees are Erling Haaland, Bryan Mbeumo, Matty Cash, and Igor Thiago, all of whom have played crucial roles for their clubs in recent weeks.

According to the English Premier League’s official X account, the governing body released the list of nominated players earlier today, sparking excitement among fans eager to see who will clinch the award.They posted;

Matty Cash has been exceptional for Aston Villa, proving solid in defence while also contributing goals. The right-back scored one of the standout goals of the month a rocket against Manchester City that handed Unai Emery’s side a famous 1–0 win.

Bryan Mbeumo has been electric for Manchester United, leading the line with energy and confidence under new manager Ruben Amorim. The Cameroonian forward scored in United’s away win at Liverpool and added a brace against Brighton last weekend, taking his tally to four goals and one assist in nine appearances this season.

Softfootball understands that Mbeumo’s recent run of form has been pivotal to United’s resurgence, helping the club secure three consecutive wins for the first time under Amorim.

Igor Thiago has also been in top form for Brentford, continuing his scoring spree with a crucial goal in their 3–2 win over Liverpool. His composure and movement have made him a key figure in Thomas Frank’s attack.

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland remains a relentless presence for Manchester City. Despite the team’s inconsistency, the Norwegian striker has racked up 11 goals in nine games, with most coming in October further proving his world-class credentials.
