Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has shrugged off any worries as his side prepare to play Brentford this weekend, Softfootball can report. According to Guardiola, he reiterated that his team are fit and ready to march on for the next game action regardless of setbacks.

Manchester City’s 2025/2026 season has been marked with a series of unexpected results and surprises. The recent was their dramatic late 2-2 draw against AS Monaco in France, from a last-minute equaliser that denied the Cityzens a perfect record in the Champions League.

While speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash, Pep Guardiola told the club media of the team to remain steadfast despite little setbacks. The conversation was captured on the club’s official X handle as this:

We will train this afternoon, but it looks good. Everybody finished [against Monaco] without any problems. Yeah, fine. All good.

Manchester City will seek to continue from where they left in the EPL, which was an emphatic 5-1 win over Burnley last Sunday, and Pep Guardiola would love to see his boys extend towards the Bees.
