I’m not concerned – Amorim responds to Sacking talks as pressure builds at Man United

Rúben Amorim’s early months at Manchester United haven’t been easy. Softfootball understands that pressure is already mounting after a poor start to the new season, with United struggling for consistency and results falling well below expectations.

This comes after United’s latest setback a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Brentford which has only intensified scrutiny on the Portuguese manager. Softfootball earlier reported that Amorim currently holds the lowest win rate of any United manager since World War II, a grim record that is hard for fans to ignore.

Adding to the concerns, Amorim has not yet managed to guide United to back-to-back wins since his appointment, following the sacking of Erik ten Hag late last season. That failure to string results together has further highlighted the team’s lack of momentum under his leadership.

According to top journalist Fabrizio Romano who provided the latest on the situation via his official X handle, Amorim addressed the speculation about his future with defiance, he said;

I’m not concerned because it is not my decision. I will do the best I can every minute I’m here. I am never concerned about losing my job. I am not that kind of guy.

It is understandable that Amorim’s calm words reflect his no-nonsense character. Despite the pressure, he refuses to panic and is determined to focus on the job at hand. For him, it’s about building something step by step, even if results haven’t yet gone his way.

But patience is running out at Old Trafford. Fans and pundits alike are calling for immiediate improvement, and with United still looking unconvincing, the coming weeks could be decisive. For now, though, Amorim remains unfazed, lazer focused on proving he is the right man to lead the Red Devils back to their glory days.
