Barcelona have confirmed that Alejandro Balde has suffered a minor injury during training on Wednesday, with the defender now facing a short spell of assessment, Softfootball can report.

The injury update was shared by Barcelona via their official website regarding Balde’s condition, stating that further assessment will be done to ascertain his status.

According to the club, they stated:

Defender Alejandro Balde suffered a slight injury to his left hamstring during today’s training session. His availability will depend on how he progresses.

Baldé’s availability for upcoming fixtures will depend on how his recovery develops in the coming days. Balde only played for 78 minutes during Barca’s 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old has been an important figure in Hansi Flick’s plans, registering three appearances for the La Liga giants this season.

Meanwhile, Barcelona has said it will provide further updates once his recovery advances, but any absence would be a blow as Barcelona prepares for a demanding schedule in both La Liga and the Champions League.
