Bayern in Final Talks with Al Nassr Over Kingsley Coman, €35m Deal Close

Bayern Munich and Al Nassr are in advanced negotiations over the transfer of Kingsley Coman, with all signs pointing towards an agreement in the coming days.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern are open to selling the 28-year-old winger and talks have progressed to the final stages. While no full agreement has been signed, the expectation is that a deal could be wrapped up within 24 to 48 hours if all sides stay on track.

The two clubs are still haggling over the fee. €35 million is the figure being discussed, down from Bayern’s original €50m valuation. Personal terms, however, are already sorted. Coman has given the green light to a contract with Al Nassr that runs until 2028.

German transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg on his official X handle, shared an update about the negotiations between the two clubs for Coman.

He shared:

“Advanced negotiations are ongoing between FC Bayern and Al Nassr regarding Kingsley #Coman. Bayern are willing to sell him.

“A full agreement has not yet been reached but is expected within the next 24-48 hours if everything goes according to plan.

“Talks are currently taking place over a transfer fee of around €35 million. Personal terms between Coman and Al Nassr have been agreed until 2028.”

Softfootball understands that Coman’s salary in Saudi Arabia would be huge, around €20m per year, roughly double what he currently earns in Munich and this is amongst the factors propelling the Frenchman’s openness to leave, added to the signing of Luis Diaz from Liverpool.

The French international has been with Bayern since 2015, scoring in the 2020 Champions League final against PSG. Injuries have often interrupted his progress, but when fit, Coman has been one of the Bundesliga’s most dangerous wide players.

For Bayern, the sale would free up funds and wages for new signings, while Al Nassr would be landing a proven European star to join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané after recently landing Inigo Martinez from Barcelona.

Unless there’s a late twist, Kingsley Coman’s Bayern career appears to be entering its final hours, and everything is expected to be sorted in the next 24 to 48 hours.
