Despite speculation linking Jørgensen with Coventry City, Softfootball understands that move was never a concrete possibility, with Coventry instead closing in on Rushworth.
Chelsea and Strasbourg have now reached the final stages of negotiations, with discussions centred on the goalkeeper’s salary before the move is officially completed.
Jørgensen has already left Chelsea’s pre-season camp in anticipation of finalising the transfer.
