Former Egypt international Haytham Farouk claims Mohamed Salah has already put pen to paper on a new contract with Liverpool, despite the club yet to confirm anything officially.

Talks between Liverpool and Salah’s representatives have been ongoing for weeks, with the Egyptian’s current deal edging closer to its final months.

Softfootball understands Farouk made the claim via his own social media account, catching plenty of attention among fans.

Taking to his page, he wrote:

Congratulations on renewing your contract with the number you like and the period you want. The Egyptian king rules with his own judgments.

Reports suggest Salah is keen to stay at Anfield, which could explain why a breakthrough in negotiations might come quickly if both parties agree on terms.

Liverpool have not issued any official statement confirming the claim, and fans will likely wait for the club’s own announcement before treating the news as certain.
