Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has assured Nigerians that the team will do everything possible to defeat Libya in Friday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Softfootball understands that Nigeria are currently top of Group D with four points and remain the only team yet to concede a goal in the group.

The Super Eagles are in a strong position, and victory in the double-header against Libya would move them closer to securing qualification for the 2025 AFCON tournament.

Libya, on the other hand, are still searching for their first win of the qualifying campaign and will be desperate to get a positive result at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Boniface, however, believes the Super Eagles have enough quality, focus, and motivation to claim all three points in front of their home supporters.

Speaking with Football Fans Tribe, the Bayer Leverkusen striker said Nigeria will not underrate Libya because every team comes into a match with pride and purpose.

According to him, the Libyan players will be representing their families and country, just as the Super Eagles will also be playing for Nigerians.

Boniface added that the team understands how important the fixture is and will give everything to make the country proud.

He also reflected on the strong support Nigeria received during the last Africa Cup of Nations, saying the players are aware of how much the national team means to the fans.

For Boniface and his teammates, the target is clear: beat Libya, strengthen Nigeria’s position in the group, and move closer to another AFCON appearance.
