Barcelona have reached a verbal agreement to sign Ecuadorian 2007‑born winger Josué Caicedo from LDU Quito, after missing out on Marc Cucurella, who has already completed his move to Real Madrid.
Softfootball gathered that the deal is in place for Barcelona B, structured as a loan with an option to buy, which could later turn into an obligation depending on performance‑related conditions. The fee is expected to be around €2.5 million.
At the moment, all parties are aligned, and Barcelona are preparing the final documents as the club moves to secure one of Ecuador’s most promising young wide players.
