Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has urged fans and media to remain patient with Endrick, stressing that the young forward will play a key role for the Seleção during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Softfootball understands, Endrick who is part of Brazil’s World Cup squad, did not start in their opening 1–1 draw with Morocco, prompting questions about his role in the team. Speaking to the media, Ancelotti addressed the situation directly.
This was Ancelotti’s statement:
I see all the comments, it was the first game, there’s a lot of competition, it’s quite normal.
Endrick didn’t start… but there are 15 other players that didn’t start either.
We must be patient and use him at the right time. He’s gonna be important.
Ancelotti emphasised that Endrick remains a crucial part of Brazil’s plans and that his involvement will increase as the tournament progresses.

Brazil now turn their attention to their next Group C match against Haiti, who lost 0–1 to Scotland in their opening fixture as Neymar is still unlikely to feature, as he continues his recovery from injury.
