JJ Gabriel Named Manchester United’s Jimmy Murphy Player Of The Year

It is now official that JJ Gabriel has been named the Jimmy Murphy Player of the Year at Manchester United. The talented youngster becomes the youngest player ever to win the award at the age of 15.

Softfootball gathered that he has excelled throughout the campaign and has broken the previous record held by Angel Gomes, who was 16 years and eight months old when he received the accolade in 2017.

Manchester United’s leading youth scorer found the net in the FA Youth Cup ties against Peterborough United FC and Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, in addition to the away game against Oxford United FC.

He has also been one of the standout performers in the Under-18 Premier League this season. On Thursday night, Gabriel represented Darren Fletcher’s side in the FA Youth Cup final against Manchester City FC at the Joie Stadium.
