Sporting CP has officially agreed to sign Rodrigo Zalazar from SC Braga. Softfootball gathered that the agreement was for £30 million, as Rodrigo Zalazar Martínez, who plays as a midfielder for Braga and the Uruguay national football team, will undergo a medical test on Wednesday 13th May 2026.

In addition, the deal is seen to be a five-year contract. With Schalke 04 still riding the highs of securing promotion, they could soon be in for another financial windfall.
With the fee reportedly set to hit around €30 million for the Uruguayan, ‘A Bola’ suggests Schalke could profit from his transfer. When Zalazar moved to Braga for €6 million in 2023, the Royal Blues management at the time secured a ten percent sell-on clause.
As a result, the Gelsenkirchen club could make around €3 million from the 26-year-old’s move to the side from the Portuguese capital.
