Softfootball can confirm AS Roma have decided not to activate the purchase option for Bryan Zaragoza, meaning the winger will return to FC Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

This development comes amid changes behind the scenes at Roma, with Claudio Ranieri stepping down from his Senior Advisor role following reported disagreements with manager Gian Piero Gasperini over transfer strategy and club operations.

According to Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on his Official x handle, Roma have opted against making the deal permanent after evaluating Zaragoza’s overall impact and the financial terms involved.

Romano posted:

AS Roma won’t trigger the buy option clause for Bryan Zaragoza this summer. The winger will return to FC Bayern.

The Spanish attacker, who joined on loan, will now head back to Bayern, where his future will be reassessed ahead of the new campaign.
