Ahead of Real Madrid’s huge Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich, Vinícius Júnior and manager Álvaro Arbeloa both struck a calm but confident tone during the press conference posted by DRM news via their youtube channel, making it clear that the club is fully locked in for another big European night at the Santiago Bernabéu, Softfootball reported.
Vinícius highlighted how much the home crowd could shape the occasion, saying,
“Surely it’s the connection between the players and the fans, because that always changes the dynamic of matches at home, especially in the Champions League. We have to be prepared because a very good team is coming, but we are ready.”
He also addressed his future, effectively calming contract speculation by insisting he remains happy in Madrid. In what felt like Vinícius Jr breaks silence on contract future at Real Madrid, he said,
“I still have one year left on my contract. We are very calm because I have confidence in the president and everyone who speaks with me every day. At the right moment, we will do the renewal.”
The Brazilian also opened up on his difficult moments this season, admitting,
“I went a long time without scoring, the fans whistled me, but it has all been a learning process. I think I am in my best version of this season now.”
He also defended Kylian Mbappé, insisting the outside criticism does not shake the dressing room.Arbeloa, meanwhile, praised Bayern and Vincent Kompany’s work, calling the German side one of Europe’s most complete teams.

He said,
“Bayern have probably been the most consistent team in Europe this season. They are aggressive, brave, intense and very well coached.”
But the Madrid boss also made the club’s ambition clear:
“For us there is only one possible scenario, and that is to beat Bayern Munich and go through.”
