Jacobo Ramón has played down talk of a possible return to Real Madrid, insisting that his focus remains firmly on Como after making an impressive start to the new season.
The 21-year-old defender left Real Madrid for Como in 2025 and has continued to develop into an important figure under Cesc Fàbregas. His performances have reportedly attracted renewed attention from his former club, which retained buy-back options as part of his transfer agreement.
Speaking to Gazzetta, Ramón made it clear that he is not looking beyond his current situation at Como, where he has established himself as a key player.
Let me say one thing. I am very, very happy at Como,
Ramón said.
The season has just started and I won’t focus on anything else.
His comments come amid reports that Real Madrid are monitoring his progress and could consider bringing him back in the future. However, Ramón’s immediate priority appears to be continuing his development and enjoying regular football in Italy.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have also received an injury concern in defence after Ibrahima Konaté was diagnosed with a collateral ligament injury in his right leg.
The club confirmed after medical tests that the French international suffered the injury while away with France. Real Madrid said his recovery would be monitored, with no specific return date announced.
Konaté’s injury adds another defensive concern for Real Madrid, while Ramón’s continued development at Como could keep his name in the conversation surrounding the club’s future defensive options.
