Earlier in March 2026, Silva also shared an emotional message to supporters, describing wearing the captain’s armband as a “massive honour” and stating that he will always remain a fan of the club even after his eventual departure.

The Portuguese midfielder has reportedly made his intentions clear since January, with multiple clubs across Europe, Saudi Arabia, and MLS showing strong interest. Silva is currently focused on finishing the season with City before deciding his next move.
