The United States will look to make home advantage count when they face Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a place in the last 16 on the line.

The Stars and Stripes have been one of the tournament’s standout teams so far, finishing top of Group D after an impressive 4-1 victory over Paraguay followed by a commanding 2-0 win against Australia. Those back-to-back victories secured qualification with a game to spare and underlined the confidence within the American camp.

Playing in front of a home crowd, the USA will be aiming to continue their strong momentum and take another step towards a memorable World Cup campaign.

Bosnia-Herzegovina, meanwhile, progressed as one of the tournament’s best third-placed teams after collecting four points from three group matches. The Dragons finished behind Switzerland and Canada in Group B but did enough to book their place in the knockout rounds.

History slightly favours the Americans, who have won two of their previous three meetings with Bosnia-Herzegovina, including a 1-0 victory in their most recent encounter in December 2021.
