Unai Emery Speaks Ahead of Europa League Final as Aston Villa Chase History

Unai Emery has shared his thoughts ahead of Aston Villa’s upcoming Europa League final against SC Freiburg, as the club prepares for one of its biggest European matches in decades.

Speaking about the mood ahead of the final as shared on the club’s YouTube channel, Emery admitted the entire club is proud of what the team has achieved throughout the Europa League campaign this season.

The Aston Villa manager described the final as a “special competition” to share with the supporters, praising the belief, trust, and energy fans have given the team during their European journey.

Emery emphasized that the connection between the players and supporters has been a major factor behind Villa’s impressive performances across Europe this season.

We are so proud how we are doing the way during the season and it’s something we are feeling as a special competition to share with our supporters, they are following us all the countries we were playing and of course gave us a lot of energy when we were in the process of the Europa league and now playing finals is something so so special. After a long time, not playing one final in Europe is something really fantastic. The supporters will be with us in Istanbul , will travel with us today to there and enjoy one match for a trophy and of course we are here in Football for trophies for Prestige and I think Europe is giving us it and you must have it with our supporters with all the villain supporters and Fan we must try to share everything. We are now living in the moment that we are and of course, especially on Wednesday in Istanbul.

When asked how important the final is personally following his long-standing ambition to deliver European success at Villa Park, Emery explained that the project has always been about building through a process.

The Spanish coach stated that competing successfully in Europe can bring prestige to Aston Villa while also helping expand the club’s football brand across the continent. He added that the club continues to improve progressively both on and off the pitch, highlighting the steady development Villa have made under his leadership since returning to European competition.

It’s a process and Europe is something can give us Prestige, can give us as well extending our football for Europe and our brand Aston Villa brand for Europe and of course, playing one final is
the consequence how we are progressively getting better and being demanding in our way , in Europe is something to make us so happy and of course make us as well the responsibility now to bring at home this trophy and the supporters they are being excited as well how we are again more or less getting emotions through Europe and finally something can make us so happy on wednesday in case incase we are wining this trophy.
