Softfootball can confirm UEFA have officially rejected FC Barcelona’s complaint regarding refereeing decisions in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Atlético Madrid, declaring the protest “inadmissible”.

The decision comes shortly after Barcelona’s strong response on the pitch, as they secured a convincing 4–1 victory over RCD Espanyol in La Liga. Ferran Torres starred with a brace, while Lamine Yamal added another in a dominant display.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his x handle, The complaint, submitted on April 13, followed the first-leg encounter on April 8, where Barcelona raised concerns over a controversial incident in the 54th minute, claiming a handball inside the box was ignored without VAR intervention.
