Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has revealed that Victor Osimhen holds a genuine affinity for Chelsea, adding fuel to ongoing transfer speculation surrounding the Nigerian striker.
Osimhen fired Napoli to a first Serie A title in 33 years back in 2023, netting 26 league goals in the process, before securing a lucrative new contract designed to maximize the club’s return whenever a sale eventually materializes.

Softfootball understands the striker has previously been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain amid ongoing transfer speculation.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Troost-Ekong didn’t hold back when addressing where his international teammate’s heart truly lies. He said:
I can tell you he’s a Chelsea fan, I can confirm that. He’s a great teammate, in front of the goal he can be very greedy, but he’s someone who speaks up for the team in the changing room, he’s a real leader.
Troost-Ekong also praised Osimhen’s relentless work ethic, recalling his early impressions of the striker back in 2019, saying:
He always plays like it’s his last game of football, chasing down every ball and going for every header. I think he’s one of the most feared strikers to play against.
