Former Manchester United goalkeeper Massimo Taibi has claimed Andre Onana is not currently performing at the level required for the Premier League, urging the Cameroonian to rediscover his best form or consider moving on.
Onana has endured an inconsistent spell at Old Trafford since joining from Inter Milan, with his performances coming under increasing scrutiny. Softfootball understands Taibi believes the pressure of playing for Manchester United may be affecting the goalkeeper.

Offering his assessment, Taibi encouraged Onana to respond positively to criticism. He said:
I’d be straight to the point and tell him, Andre, you are one of the best keepers in Europe but in the Premier League, you are underperforming. Block out criticism, do some soul-searching, press the reset and go again. And if things don’t change by June, move on.
Taibi also suggested the environment at Old Trafford may not suit the 29-year-old. He added:
I think subconsciously the United environment isn’t ideal for him and when a marriage is showing cracks, it’s pointless to continue.
