Madugu concluded by pleading with Nigerians not to abandon the team, stressing that both the players and coaching staff remain determined to bounce back stronger.
Nigeria dominated large spells of the encounter and created numerous scoring opportunities, but a first‑half goal from Cameroon proved decisive.
