Chelle addressed questions on pressure, expectations and squad readiness as Nigeria prepares to begin its qualifying campaign.
He made it clear that pressure is part of the responsibility that comes with leading the Super Eagles:
“This is our job. The pressure is a part of the job. We want to stay focused on our group and our team.”
The coach also responded to concerns about the late arrival of some goalkeepers, explaining that the situation was linked to a club commitment. He added that he would manage it and make the necessary decisions as preparations continue.
Chelle emphasised the mindset required for the qualifier, calling for intensity, aggression and ambition, urging his players to move forward and stay focused on the task ahead.
