The Super Eagles of Nigeria have long been celebrated for producing prolific goal scorers who delivered on the biggest stages, from AFCON tournaments to World Cup appearances. Over the decades, several legendary forwards and midfielders have etched their names into Nigeria’s football history through goals and match-winning performances.
Softfootball analysed, as of 31st december 2025, the all-time goal-scoring chart remains topped by the late Rashidi Yekini, whose record continues to stand as a benchmark for excellence. However, current deputy captain Victor Osimhen is rapidly closing the gap, signaling a potential shift in the rankings in the coming years.

Below is the updated list of the Super Eagles’ top 10 goal scorers as at 2025:
- Rashidi Yekini – 37 goals
- Victor Osimhen – 32 goals
- Segun Odegbami – 23 goals
- Yakubu Ayegbeni – 21 goals
- Ikechukwu Uche – 19 goals
- Obafemi Martins – 18 goals
- Samson Siasia – 17 goals
- Sunday Oyarekhua – 17 goals
- Odion Ighalo – 16 goals
- Ahmed Musa – 16 goals
Several players on this list have retired from international football, including Ahmed Musa, who officially stepped away from the Super Eagles in December 2025. His retirement paved the way for leadership changes, with Wilfred Ndidi appointed captain and Victor Osimhen named deputy captain.
With Osimhen still active and in top form, Nigerian fans will be watching closely to see if he can surpass Yekini’s long-standing record and write a new chapter in Super Eagles history.
