Sofyan Amrabat says he’s genuinely enjoying life at Real Betis after arriving on loan from Fenerbahçe, describing the club as great and admitting he feels so happy in Seville.
The Moroccan midfielder joined Betis in the summer of 2025 and has settled in quickly, becoming a steady presence in Manuel Pellegrini’s midfield.
Known for his work rate and that tough, ball-winning style fans love, Amrabat has added exactly the sort of experience Betis needed.

This is good news for the fans, especially after Softfootball earlier reported that Isco had extended his contract till 2028, and with another key player in Antony pledging his loyalty to the club, Betis fans will be all over the moon right now as key figures in the squad are openly committing to the club’s vision.
His influence has helped the team stay comfortably in the top 6 while also keeping them competitive in Spain’s domestic competitions. It’s not flashy stuff, but it’s the kind of consistency coaches rely on, with 603 minutes clocked across 8 appearances.
When asked about staying in Seville beyond this season, Amrabat didn’t make any big promises, but he also didn’t close the door.

As revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X account, he basically said his future isn’t entirely in his hands but added a ‘why not?’ when talking about remaining at Betis, which supporters took as a very positive sign.
Fabrizio tweeted:
Sofyan Amrabat on his loan at Betis from Fenerbahçe: I’m so happy here, it’s a great club.
I can’t promise anything about my future as it doesn’t depend on me but… why not [staying]?
Fans at the Benito Villamarín have already embraced him, and the club’s hierarchy is keeping a close eye on the situation. Any permanent deal would obviously depend on finances and whatever Fenerbahçe decide to do, especially since they still have the option to bring him back next summer.
For now, though, the move has clearly revived Amrabat’s club career after a tough spell of limited minutes in Turkey. With international duties for Morocco also on the horizon, the timing of this Betis chapter couldn’t be much better for him.
