Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer believes Manchester United must resolve Marcus Rashford’s uncertain future as quickly as possible to allow Ruben Amorim to reshape his squad.
Rashford has been left out of United’s last four matchday squads, with Amorim maintaining that the England international remains outside his immediate plans. Softfootball understands Shearer believes the club must fully support their new manager’s decisions.

Speaking as a Betfair ambassador, Shearer said:
They have to back Amorim. They brought him in because things haven’t been anywhere near good enough, and he needs to sort out that mess.
The former Premier League striker expects both parties to reach a decision during the January transfer window.
He has to be allowed to do what he wants, and the situation with Marcus Rashford will be resolved. Whether it’s sorted out in January, I guess both parties will reach an agreement.
Rashford recently admitted he is ready for a “new challenge” after being omitted from United’s derby victory over Manchester City.
The forward has managed seven goals and three assists in 24 appearances this season.
