Sevilla head coach Garcia Pimienta has called for patience with Chidera Ejuke as the Nigerian winger continues his recovery and attempts to regain his best form.
Ejuke returned to competitive action recently after spending around four months on the sidelines with a hamstring injury sustained during Sevilla’s LaLiga clash against Barcelona in October.
The 27-year-old has featured in four matches since recovering from the injury, but he is yet to rediscover the form that made him an important part of Sevilla’s attack before his setback.
Pimienta believes the winger needs more time to regain his rhythm and confidence following such a lengthy spell out of action. The Sevilla boss also praised Ejuke’s attitude in training and expressed confidence that the player will eventually return to his top level.

Pimienta said:
Ejuke is part of the process after a serious injury. We have to be patient with him because he trains phenomenally, and I am convinced he will get back to his best.
Ejuke has made 13 LaLiga appearances for Sevilla this season, scoring once. His return is expected to provide the Spanish club with another attacking option as they look to improve their position in the league.
The former CSKA Moscow and Hertha Berlin winger will hope to continue building his fitness when Sevilla face Real Valladolid in their next LaLiga fixture.
