Çaykur Rizespor will aim to secure their best Turkish Super Lig finish in years when they host Beşiktaş JK at the Çaykur Didi Stadyumu in the final round of the season.

Rizespor enter the clash eighth in the standings, level on points with Konyaspor, and needing a win to guarantee they hold onto that position. Under Recep Uçar, the Black Sea side are pushing to improve on back-to-back ninth-place finishes since their return to the top flight. Baestikas posted their preparation on their official x handle.

Konyaspor made history on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, after beating Beşiktaş 1-0 in a dramatic Turkish Cup semi-final at Tüpraş Stadium.

Despite suffering a heavy 4–0 defeat in their last outing, Rizespor’s home form offers optimism. They have won their last five league matches at home, scoring freely while maintaining defensive solidity. However, history poses a major obstacle, as they have failed to beat Beşiktaş at home in their last 12 attempts.

Beşiktaş, managed by Sergen Yalçın, have already secured fourth place and have little riding on the result beyond finishing strongly. The Black Eagles have enjoyed a solid campaign overall and remain one of the league’s better-performing away sides, despite recent inconsistencies.

Team News

Having already beaten Rizespor twice this season—once in the league and once in the Turkish Cup—Beşiktaş will be confident of completing a clean sweep, while the hosts look to defy history and end their campaign on a high.

Rizespor remain without Uzbekistan defender Khusniddin Alikulov, who has been sidelined since suffering a serious knee injury against Goztepe in January.

He is joined on the injury list by Altin Zeqiri, with the 25-year-old forward set to miss a sixth consecutive match because of an ankle issue.

Besiktas are also expected to be without Kartal Yilmaz due to a torn ankle ligament, while Milot Rashica could miss a third straight game because of a bone oedema problem.

Gokhan Sazdagi remains a major doubt after missing the last four matchday squads, while Necip Uysal continues to serve a suspension related to the betting scandal.

Prediction

Softfootball says Caykur Rizespor 0-2 Besiktas

Rizespor have been strong at home in recent weeks and still possess enough attacking quality to trouble the visitors, especially given Besiktas’ occasional defensive lapses away from home.

FIFA has officially unveiled the Technical Study Group (TSG) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a specialized panel tasked with analyzing all 104 matches during the tournament and contributing to the selection of major individual awards, including the Golden Ball.
