Real Madrid have publicly dismissed speculation linking the club with a sensational move for Michael Olise, insisting that reports suggesting a potential €200 million bid are completely inaccurate, Softfootball understands.
In an official statement, the Spanish giants stressed that they have had neither direct nor indirect contact with the 24-year-old winger, his representatives, nor anyone associated with him. The club also moved to shut down claims that they were preparing a major summer approach for one of Europe’s most in-demand attacking talents.
Madrid further emphasized the strong relationship they maintain with Bayern Munich, expressing disappointment over speculation that does not reflect reality. The statement highlighted that any genuine interest in a player under contract at another club should first be discussed between the clubs involved.
Olise enjoyed a remarkable 2025/26 campaign in Germany, registering 22 goals and 31 assists across all competitions. His outstanding form has continued on the international stage, where he is representing France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The winger provided the assist for Kylian Mbappé’s opening goal in Les Bleus’ 3-1 victory over Senegal in their opening group-stage fixture.

The denial comes amid a busy summer at the Santiago Bernabéu. Under the leadership of José Mourinho, Madrid have already strengthened significantly, securing the free-transfer signing of Bernardo Silva, completing the arrival of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea FC, and preparing to welcome Ibrahima Konaté following the expiration of his contract at Liverpool FC.
Despite their aggressive recruitment drive, Madrid have made it clear that Olise is not currently part of those plans. The clarification also follows reports that their €150 million bid for Julián Álvarez was rejected by city rivals Atlético Madrid.
For now, Olise remains focused on Bayern Munich and France’s World Cup campaign, while Real Madrid continue to distance themselves from one of the biggest transfer rumours of the summer.
