Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on an agreement with Parma to sign highly-rated Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki in a deal worth around €35 million.
The remaining details of the agreement are still being clarified, including whether Suzuki will be loaned to Juventus or remain at PSG should Lucas Chevalier leave the club.
Further discussions over the goalkeeper’s immediate future are expected to take place early next week, with PSG continuing to work towards completing the transfer.
Softfootball reported earlier this month that PSG had stepped up their pursuit of Suzuki by submitting an official €33 million package to Parma for the 23-year-old goalkeeper.
The proposal came after PSG presented Suzuki with their long-term sporting project in an effort to convince him that Paris is the right destination for the next stage of his career.
With negotiations now approaching an agreement at around €35 million, PSG are increasingly confident of securing Suzuki’s signature before resolving the final details of his next step.
