“I guess it will not be easy to say goodbye. I have a lot of love, it won’t be easy to see my family there and hopefully I can enjoy.”

He added:

“Another thing I enjoy is I can do it alongside John Stones and Bernardo Silva. It’s so special.”

In a powerful tribute to the most successful manager in their history, Manchester City have renamed the expanded North Stand at the Etihad Stadium after Pep Guardiola. The gesture reflects the club’s appreciation for a decade of dominance, innovation and unforgettable football.

Guardiola will now transition into a new role as Global Ambassador for City Football Group, the British‑based organisation that oversees multiple football clubs worldwide. His move marks a temporary step away from frontline management, with the Catalan coach expressing a desire to rest before deciding on his long‑term future.

City fans are expected to create an emotional atmosphere today as they honour a manager who transformed the club and left an indelible mark on English football.
