Barcelona midfielder Pedri has been rewarded for one of the beautiful goals he has scored so far with his thunderous strike against Levante voted as La Liga’s Goal of the Month for August.
Softfootball reported that the goal came on August 23 at the Ciutat de València. Barça were in deep trouble at half-time, trailing 2-0, when Pedri stepped up just four minutes into the second half. Picking up the ball outside the box, he let fly with a rocket that whistled into the top corner. It was the spark that changed everything, setting Barcelona on course for an eventual 3-2 comeback win.
The Canary Islander has carried that form into the new campaign. Known primarily for his vision and playmaking, he has added goals to his game, scoring twice for Spain during the international break before returning to deliver for his club.

Barcelona posted a video of the goal via their official X account.

Fans voted Pedri’s strike as the best in Spain’s top flight last month, ahead of Villarreal’s Nicolas Pépé, who finished off a clever team move against Celta, and Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez, who impressed with a free-kick against Espanyol.
That night against Levante was more than just three points for Barcelona. The comeback was later chosen by supporters as the club’s best moment of August, underlining how much Pedri’s goal meant in the bigger picture.
At just 22, Pedri is showing he can not only create but also decide matches himself.
