Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed the signing of Lucas Digne from Aston Villa for a reported fee of €7 million.
The experienced French left-back was strongly in favour of the move and is understood to be excited by PSG’s sporting project. Digne has now committed his future to the French champions until June 2029 as he begins a new chapter in his career.
The transfer marks Digne’s return to France after several years abroad, with PSG moving quickly to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season.
Softfootball reported earlier in July that Digne was on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain after a verbal agreement had been reached between all parties.
Digne is viewed as an ideal addition, bringing valuable experience and quality to provide strong competition and reliable cover for first-choice left-back Nuno Mendes.
The deal has now been officially completed, with Digne set to bring his experience and quality to PSG as the club prepares for another demanding campaign.
