Nottingham Forest once again has delivered a performance that can be described as sharp, controlled and full of energy to secure a calm 3-0 win over Malmö FF.

Softfootball had predicted in their pre-match analysis that Forest would win against Malmö FF, who have struggled to keep a clean sheet in their last five matches.

Forest wasted no time in scribbling their signature as Ryan Yates scored the first goal in the 27th minute which set the squad ahead of the game. The game continued and before the first half was over, Forest doubled their goal in the 44th minute.

The match didn’t end without some disciplinary actions as players like Pontus Jansson, Elliot Anderson, Zach Abbott received yellow cards.
The game also had its share of disciplinary actions, with yellow cards shown to Pontus Jansson, Elliot Anderson, and Zach Abbott. Both sides made multiple substitutions around the 65th minute as the match grew more intense.
The match drew close to its end and Malmö’s pressure kept increasing as they tried to stay composed. Five minutes extra time was added to the 90th minute but there were no more goals, so, Nottingham Forest officially walked away with a well deserved 3-0 victory.
This victory over Malmo FF is evidence that Dyche’s winning formula of focusing on the basics and sticking to what works, rather than chasing trends, is working just fine.
For Malmö, this result adds to their poor run and they will need to improve quickly if they want to compete strongly again.
