Ruth David has secured a landmark legal victory after winning a defamation case at the Court of Appeal against Amaechi Agbo, publisher of BestChoiceSports, Softfootball understands.

The development, shared via Ruth David and reposted by the Nigeria Football Federation via thier official x handle, saw the court issue multiple rulings in her favour. These include a public apology to be broadcast on national and international television, as well as publication in newspapers and on digital platforms.

In addition, a perpetual injunction was granted to prevent further defamatory publications, alongside general damages and ₦2 million in legal costs.
