United improved after the restart and eventually found an equaliser in the 68th minute through Joshua Zirkzee. Softfootball gathered that Alejandro Garnacho’s dangerous run and cross created the opportunity, allowing the Dutch forward to tap into an empty net.
Just when extra time looked certain, Bruno Fernandes delivered a superb free-kick into the box and Maguire rose highest to power home the winning header. The dramatic finish sealed United’s comeback victory and ensured the FA Cup holders progressed to the fifth round, while Leicester exited the competition despite a spirited performance.
