Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is on the verge of joining AC Milan after both clubs reached an agreement over a loan move for the experienced England international. The deal includes an option that would allow the Serie A giants to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

Softfootball understands that Walker is expected to complete his medical examination before signing his contract with the Rossoneri. The defender leaves City after an outstanding spell that saw him become one of the club’s most successful players.

Since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017, Walker has won six Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and numerous domestic honours. His leadership, pace and defensive qualities made him a key figure in Pep Guardiola’s dominant side.

Guardiola recently praised Walker’s contribution, insisting Manchester City’s remarkable success over the past eight years would not have been possible without the England defender. Milan will now hope his experience can strengthen their squad during the second half of the season.
