Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been officially appointed captain of the Georgia national football team, succeeding Guram Kashia, with Otar Kiteishvili named as vice-captain. The announcement was shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X handle.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been officially named as Georgia national team captain.

Softfootball understands that Kvaratskhelia earned the leadership role through consistent performances, recording 38 caps and 16 goals while playing a key role in guiding Georgia to their first-ever major tournament at Euro 2024. He has been nicknamed “Kvaradona” for his electrifying dribbling style.

Since his 2025 move from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain, he has continued to shine as one of Europe’s most exciting wingers.
