Florentino Pérez has come under criticism from content creator Kombo following Barcelona’s dominant 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in the latest El Clasico clash at Spotify Camp Nou, a result that secured the La Liga title for Barcelona in emphatic fashion.
Kombo, who had earlier praised Barcelona’s impressive 18-game home run, reacted strongly to Perez’s post-match press conference via his YouTube channel, accusing the Real Madrid president of failing to properly address the club’s internal problems.

According to Kombo, Perez focused more on Barcelona and refereeing controversies instead of speaking about Real Madrid’s recent struggles and shortcomings on the pitch.
As gathered by Softfootball, the football analyst argued that age may now be affecting Perez’s decision-making, claiming that “the older one gets, the slower he thinks.” He further suggested that it may be time for a leadership transition at the club, insisting that no president can remain in power forever.
Kombo also questioned several of Perez’s recent decisions, including transfer activity and public statements, while stressing that there should now be serious conversations about change within the Real Madrid hierarchy. Despite his criticism, he acknowledged Perez’s achievements and legacy, describing him as one of football’s greatest presidents.
He added that two or three years ago, Perez likely would not have handled the situation in the same manner, suggesting that the club president’s recent press conferences have shown signs of decline in leadership approach.

He said:
The truth about the matter is that Florentino Perez is getting older and older everyday and the older you get, the slower you think. Florentino Perez from 2/3 years ago will not do a press conference like this after having a terrible season and some of the decision making from him is a clear indication that the man is getting old. He can not be president forever that’s the truth. There is always a time where by you will just step back and say I don try, I have done my best, it’s time for someone else to take over. Someone with fresh mind, someone with fresh ideas. Florentino Perez, his decision making of late has been very very terrible. From the kind of managers he has appointed to the kind of signings Real Madrid has made. It has not been as wonderful and as rosy as it used to be. He is still one of the best presidents in the world but from the press conferences, all I just see is old age, the man is getting old. For you to leave all the problems that Real Madrid is facing, all the fights and started talking about Negreira. That Negreira is the reason Barcelona is winning all the matches and the leagues.
Kombo further defended Barcelona regarding refereeing debates, claiming that throughout football history, the Catalan club has suffered more than most teams when it comes to controversial officiating decisions and referee-related issues.
