Roy Keane has heavily criticised Trent Alexander-Arnold’s defensive performance during Liverpool’s 2-2 Premier League draw with Manchester United at Anfield, Softfootball reports.
The Liverpool right-back endured a difficult afternoon as United repeatedly targeted his side of the pitch. Rasmus Hojlund and Diogo Dalot both benefited from Alexander-Arnold’s defensive lapses, while Lisandro Martinez’s opening goal also originated from Liverpool’s right flank.
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville also noted during the match that the England international appeared to be struggling defensively.
Speaking during Sky Sports’ half-time analysis, Keane did not hold back in his assessment of the defender’s display.
The former Manchester United captain argued that Alexander-Arnold made life too easy for the visitors and questioned the level of his defending despite his attacking qualities.
