The England international committed his future to the Magpies earlier this month, signing a new long-term deal that will keep him at St James’ Park until 2031. Newcastle confirmed the agreement after Hall attracted interest from Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
Speaking to The Chronicle, Hall admitted that being linked with another club was a positive sign that his performances were attracting attention.
“I guess whenever you’re linked to another team, you know that you’re doing something right,”
Hall said.
I took that as a positive, but at the same time, I knew how much I love playing here and I knew that since the manager came in, I knew the ambitions and what we wanted to achieve.
Hall went on to make it clear that his decision to remain at Newcastle was never a difficult one.
It was a no-brainer to sign a new contract,
he added.

Hall joined Newcastle from Chelsea in 2023 and has now made 107 appearances for the club. His development has also earned him recognition with England, having made four senior appearances for the Three Lions.
The new agreement puts an end to the immediate speculation surrounding his future, with Manchester United having monitored the left-back during the summer. Reports indicate that United could retain an interest, but Hall is now tied to Newcastle until 2031.
