Hungary and FIFA U-20 World Cup 2029 Co-Host, Georgia will face off at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on Friday evening, with both nations seeking their first victory of the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League campaign.
The two sides have collected just one point from their opening two matches in League B Group 2, making this an important encounter as they attempt to move away from the bottom of the standings.
Hungary began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Ukraine before Marco Rossi’s side played out a goalless draw away to Northern Ireland. That result left the National Eleven third in the group, while another meeting with Ukraine awaits on October 5.
Hungary previously competed in League A during the 2022-23 and 2024-25 editions but were relegated last time out. They have recorded 10 wins, eight draws and 10 defeats across 28 Nations League matches, scoring 29 goals and conceding 33.
Georgia have endured a similarly difficult start. Ramaz Svanadze’s side suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Northern Ireland before earning a goalless draw with Ukraine. The result leaves them bottom of the section on goal difference.
The Crusaders have progressed from League D at the inaugural Nations League tournament to League B, where they are competing for the second consecutive edition. Georgia also made history at Euro 2024 by reaching the round of 16 and will be determined to build another successful international cycle.

Match Prediction
Softfootball predicts Hungary 1-1 Georgia. Both teams have made cautious starts to the Nations League and will see this fixture as an opportunity to collect a much-needed three points.
Hungary’s home advantage and the presence of Szoboszlai and Kerkez could give them an edge, but Georgia possess considerable attacking quality through Kvaratskhelia and Mikautadze.
