Speculation linking Viktor Gyokeres to a reunion with Ruben Amorim at Manchester United isn’t going anywhere, according to the man himself.
Softfootball gathered that the Sporting CP striker addressed the rumors directly in a chat with fotbollskanalen, brushing off the idea that United’s current strike force leaves room for him. He said:
He probably has some strikers there already, so we’ll see

Timing came up too, with the Swede asked whether a January move made more sense than waiting until summer. His answer suggested he isn’t thinking about exits at all right now.
That’s nothing I think of,
he said.
Of course you want to play the season out in Sporting and I enjoy it there, so it is no stress for me to get a move in the future. We’ll see when it’s time.
At 26 and settled in Lisbon, Gyokeres doesn’t sound like a player in a hurry; whatever the transfer rumor mill decides to do next.
